Born in 1998 and a third year student of Regent House Grammar School Newtownards. Since young age, Lauren has excelled in sports: tennis, gymnastics, swimming, trampolining, etc.
Lauren swam competitively for seven years, initially for Ards ASC and then Templemore ASC. She excelled in Backstroke, winning numerous team and individual medals, which includes 200m Backstroke under 9 Ulster Champion; Ulster schools Backstroke Silver Medallist, numerous Relay Teams medals (Ulster and Irish Schools, Ulster Championships, etc). Also Lauren was a Charity Shield team winner, both with Ards and Templemore. Spring 2011 saw a change in Lauren’s sportive interests, when she replaced competitive swimming with diving.
Trampoline was always one of Lauren’s favourites and after many years of just fun, she had joined Peninsula Trampolining Club in 2010. Lauren is now a member of Northern Ireland Team. 2011 proved extremely successful for Lauren when she increased her tariff from 3.1 to 5.2 and she hopes that the beginning of 2012 will bring her to Irish Squad qualification standard level. Lauren is 2011 Northern Ireland champion in Advanced, under 15 girls and got the top marks in the set routine Advanced Level and the Shield. She finished in Silver medal position in the 2011 Irish Championships, Advanced Level, under 15 girls, which were held in Cork in November. At the 2011 Northern Ireland Schools Trampolining Championships, Lauren finished third in the Elite girls under 15.
Before the end of 2011, Lauren entered her first Diving competition. She won the Gold in the over 13, girls by an impressive 15 points from Silver place!
